'Creme brulee' translates to 'burnt cream' which doesn't sound very good but this is a fantastic dessert.  It's best made a day ahead and finished by 'burning' the tops just before your guests are due to arrive.

There are so many different types of cheese pies in Greece.  Served sweet and savoury, they are simple to make good for a snack or dessert. In this recipe I have used a readily available cheese, feta, combined with cream cheese to dilute and soften its salty flavour, as fresh soft Greek cheeses are not always easy to find.

Makes 1 x 22cm pie
