Quick Pavlova

Ingredients

3 large egg whites (straight from the fridge)
3 tablespoon cold water
1 ΒΌ cup sugar (not castor)
3 teaspoon cornflour
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Description

We think that everyone needs to give this pavlova recipe a go! Don't be afraid; it's a fun pav to make. And lopsided pavlovas are all the more charming. Perfect for ANZAC Day, Waitangi Day or Christmas!

Method

Beat the egg whites till they form very stiff peaks.

Add water and beat well again.

Gradually beat in the sugar beating thoroughly.

Add cornflour and beat in.

Spread on a greased tray keeping it high and small.

Cook for 1 hour at 150C.

Cool slightly before sliding on to a plate with a spatula.

Serve with fresh berries and sweet whipped cream.
